This is where I’m supposed to write all kinds of spectacular stuff about myself, right?
HAHAHAHAHA…yeah, not gonna happen. I prefer honesty over trying to toot my own horn.
I’m an autism mom, full-time student, and I run a home-based business. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not perfect, but that’s okay. I love my boys to the moon and back, all things Disney, learning new things (but seriously, what the HELL was I thinking enrolling in full-time classes with 2 little ones?!?), creating stuff, writing, reading, and about a billion other things that I simply don’t have time for at this moment in my life, but which I will get to at some point. You’ll notice that I write about a lot of different things if you follow me for any period of time – in fact, this site is the result of me finally admitting that I’m just too all over the place to manage more than one website.
My FAVORITE me-time thing is definitely creating things. It relaxes me, makes me feel good about myself, and inspires my boys – the last one being the best thing a mom can ask for. If I can help you show your creative side in the process, it’s like icing on a cake.
You’re probably wondering, “What’s with the site name?” Well, the answer is simple. See the above paragraph for the “imperfect part”. The “pixie” part is because of my Disney adoration, my size (I’m pretty short), and because some very old, dear friends of mine used to call me their “little pixie”. It just kind of fits. Also, my real first name is Cheryl, but my besties call me Meebs, so that’s what I go by; and in order to give my sons a tiny measure of anonymity, I’ll be referring to our oldest (10 years) as DaVinci and our youngest (5 years) as Picasso. Trust me – these are well-earned nicknames. 😉
So, strap in, get comfy, and I hope you enjoy the ride!
(I’m the one on the left. 😉 )
